Marketing Strategy: For a salon brand entering the retail environment, one of the main considerations is to bring a stylistic focus to the line. We found that OPI had offices in both Paris and Rome and incorporated that on both the logo and bottle. The other challenge was how to make “OPI”, that meant nothing to the consumer, have a roll beyond just branding. The concept made the letters act as more of a design element. The use of the spacing and bullets points worked so well, it became the actual corporate logo. The logo for the polish has held up over millions of bottles and the most important judge, time.
